If you are not already a paid CFBRAA member I want to encourage you to become one.
Our association is doing good things and helping out many with special needs and scholarships.
We aren't doing as much as we would like to do and not as much as one would expect, especially if you or someone you are close to are in need of financial help.
We are limited by the funds we have available, so what we can do is modest compared to the needs.

Here is what we were able to accomplish this year with less than 300 paid members:
1. Helped 15 families in crisis situations, providing medical help, housing, utilities, clothing, etc. You provided nearly $11K in crisis support to families.
2. Helped 9 alumni families send their children to college, providing $6K in scholarship assistance.
3. Helped scores of new alumni with transportation, providing $4K for vehicle maintenance and fuel for the Alumni Support Center.
4. Provided $500 to the residents of the Alumni Support Center to help with Christmas presents for their families.
5. Provided $500 to the homes at BR as awards for the Christmas Contest winners.

Billy,

Do you mean those that lived in Edwards or those that were at the ranch then? I can remember that Charles Patton was there, Clarence O'Dell was there also. Those are the only two I can recall right now, maybe a couple of others will come to mind later. I was at the ranch then myself.

When I got there in 69 Waldrip and Richards were the DPs at Edwards.I remember they used to have the recreation area next to Edwards with a volleyball net, some trampolines and a basket ball court

Robin:

Edwards was indeed a new dorm when some of these fellows left. Your group was there until moving into a new dorm in 1977 right next door called Bridwell. Richards was in and out of BR for years as DP in several dorms. They got divorced and she married Simmons whose wife had died. She is in Channing, but Lela is banker at BR.

Rob:

First, turn off your Caps Lock key. All caps is hard to read. It's called "yelling" in some places.

Yas, lots of stuff happened in the years right after we left. Girls there since 92. Seven girls' dorms on the hill. Town office with several ladies in charge of stuff. Diverse staff. Almost all working there replacing those we dealt with. Kiddos ride vans to school. School is in K-5, 6-8. 9-12 buildings. Much, if not most of farm program is not in use. They eat at the dorm now, and 1 room is now a kitchen.
