If you are not already a paid CFBRAA member I want to encourage you to become one.
Our association is doing good things and helping out many with special needs and scholarships.
We aren't doing as much as we would like to do and not as much as one would expect, especially if you or someone you are close to are in need of financial help.
We are limited by the funds we have available, so what we can do is modest compared to the needs.

Here is what we were able to accomplish this year with less than 300 paid members:
1. Helped 15 families in crisis situations, providing medical help, housing, utilities, clothing, etc. You provided nearly $11K in crisis support to families.
2. Helped 9 alumni families send their children to college, providing $6K in scholarship assistance.
3. Helped scores of new alumni with transportation, providing $4K for vehicle maintenance and fuel for the Alumni Support Center.
4. Provided $500 to the residents of the Alumni Support Center to help with Christmas presents for their families.
5. Provided $500 to the homes at BR as awards for the Christmas Contest winners.

The Tuckers

Postby Tom Weissinger » Mon Jan 06, 2014 6:46 pm

Today I happened to be messing around on the computer and the name Butch Tucker crossed my mind. A short while later in the day I happened to call an ex rancher and mentioned Butch. He said, "You mean Richard?" After hanging up from talking with him I decided to do a search for Richard (Butch) Tucker. That search brought up an obituary for Richard Michael (Butch) Tucker. The obituary was rather short, told his birth, death and a few facts bout his life. Said he was salutatorian, had been FFA President, was a FFA judge in Texas for one year. Listed his mother and father who had passed before him. Listed his brother as Delbert W. Tucker Jr. in Oakley Ca. Oh yes, listed Salina Ks as his residence and burial.

It looks to me like I found Butch and Toby Tucker. I seem to remember Toby's real name being Delbert. If anyone can confirm any of these facts, please post them here so we can all know. I remember someone at one of the last gatherings asking about Toby, so if you happened to be the one asking about him maybe you can remember his given name.

With the lists that Jerry linked to yesterday I have confirmed that Butch has passed in and his brother Delbert (Toby) is living in California. This means that the graduating class of '63 is now missing Charles Keen, Tommy Shoemaker, James Watson, Donnie Wallen and Butch Tucker. Of course there may be more of them missing, these are just the ones we know about.
