If you are not already a paid CFBRAA member I want to encourage you to become one.
Our association is doing good things and helping out many with special needs and scholarships.
We aren't doing as much as we would like to do and not as much as one would expect, especially if you or someone you are close to are in need of financial help.
We are limited by the funds we have available, so what we can do is modest compared to the needs.

Here is what we were able to accomplish this year with less than 300 paid members:
1. Helped 15 families in crisis situations, providing medical help, housing, utilities, clothing, etc. You provided nearly $11K in crisis support to families.
2. Helped 9 alumni families send their children to college, providing $6K in scholarship assistance.
3. Helped scores of new alumni with transportation, providing $4K for vehicle maintenance and fuel for the Alumni Support Center.
4. Provided $500 to the residents of the Alumni Support Center to help with Christmas presents for their families.
5. Provided $500 to the homes at BR as awards for the Christmas Contest winners.

These are some pictures of the house that Wendell Brezina had us build in the parking lot. That is BC, Bill Clemons with the notorious "GOTCHA".

What I liked about those houses VICA build was they were in front of our classroom at VOCT! It was not like a regular classroom with that house being built and all the noise in the wood shop!
Good times!

Yes it was....here is another pic of it completed with my dad in the foreground. We had a new teacher and this house was built in like the second 6 weeks....I understand that Cline took a long time to build a house....just my perspective on that. Cline was a great man.....funny as hell. Hated Craftsman tools and called this one dog we let in the classroom a Turdhound......lol

Robert,

Once you post, wait until it takes you back to the page you clicked to make your post. Your post will be there and if you look, you will find that you can edit your just submitted post. I have done it several times but do not remember for sure where the edit button is, but think it is in the upper right hand part of your new post. I am going post this and then edit it to let ;you know for sure where to find the edit button.

Robert,

Okay, no edit button at present. You did not overlook it, it is not there anymore. I am pretty certain that it was there with the report and quote buttons, but is not there now. What's up guys? Where'd it go? Will it be back? :D :D :D

I do recall seeing the edit button too, but if you don't catch it at that point, there is no way to edit it. I guess that will make me pay more attention to my words....like that will happen
