Site Announcements

If you are not already a paid CFBRAA member I want to encourage you to become one.
Our association is doing good things and helping out many with special needs and scholarships.
We aren't doing as much as we would like to do and not as much as one would expect, especially if you or someone you are close to are in need of financial help.
We are limited by the funds we have available, so what we can do is modest compared to the needs.

Here is what we were able to accomplish this year with less than 300 paid members:
1. Helped 15 families in crisis situations, providing medical help, housing, utilities, clothing, etc. You provided nearly $11K in crisis support to families.
2. Helped 9 alumni families send their children to college, providing $6K in scholarship assistance.
3. Helped scores of new alumni with transportation, providing $4K for vehicle maintenance and fuel for the Alumni Support Center.
4. Provided $500 to the residents of the Alumni Support Center to help with Christmas presents for their families.
5. Provided $500 to the homes at BR as awards for the Christmas Contest winners.

Dan Henry Seaton Hall/Veigle Hall 59 to 60 or 61

My name is Dan Henry. I was at the ranch around 59 to 60 or 61 in Seaton Hall and then in Veigle Hall when it was built next door with Lamont Waldrip as dorm parent. Apparently we were there about the same time but I don't remember your name. I was in the last room on the right side of Veigle with Ron and John Goolesby, Ron Padget, Barry Smith.
I used to check the former alumni site occasionally to see who had registered and whether I knew them. There were about 400 names there at one time then the site disappeared for a while and came back and then went away again a year or two ago. Before it went away I managed to get a list of names of alumni who submitted their name to the site. I have attached the text file to this email. It is a tab delimited list and can be pasted into Word and made into a 5 column table or into Excel. I have pasted a sample of it in the email but the tabs get lost in the process. I also have it sorted by name, state, year as an HTML file.

You can join the Army, you can join the Navy and you can join the Air Force but, you BECOME a Marine!
Having earned the title of Marine it becomes a integral part of who and what we will become later in life.

I have Excel in my computer at work and I can paste it in right as I type.

You were in Veigel when Lamont was DP, eh? Kipp Burnett was a peer of mine then and lived in Veigel. Your group moved into Edwards right after you left. As I recall, we in Jim Hill enjoyed playing (and beating) Edwards more than anyone else.

Hello Dan,

It's been a long time and it was your picture that brought back the memory.
Welcome aboard.
