If you are not already a paid CFBRAA member I want to encourage you to become one.
Our association is doing good things and helping out many with special needs and scholarships.
We aren't doing as much as we would like to do and not as much as one would expect, especially if you or someone you are close to are in need of financial help.
We are limited by the funds we have available, so what we can do is modest compared to the needs.

Here is what we were able to accomplish this year with less than 300 paid members:
1. Helped 15 families in crisis situations, providing medical help, housing, utilities, clothing, etc. You provided nearly $11K in crisis support to families.
2. Helped 9 alumni families send their children to college, providing $6K in scholarship assistance.
3. Helped scores of new alumni with transportation, providing $4K for vehicle maintenance and fuel for the Alumni Support Center.
4. Provided $500 to the residents of the Alumni Support Center to help with Christmas presents for their families.
5. Provided $500 to the homes at BR as awards for the Christmas Contest winners.

Six Flags

Postby LeoWells » Mon Mar 10, 2008 8:49 pm

In almost every major market, there is a Six Flags park. From Six Flags Discovery Kingdom and Six Flags Magic Mountain in California, to Six Flags New England in Springfield, Mass., to Six Flags Over Texas, to Six Flags Over Georgia, Six Flags America near DC, Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson, NJ with the tallest rollercoaster around, Six Flags St. Louis, Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom, and . . . .Six Flags Great America, just north of Chicago.

Come see us this summer.

PS, I forgot Six Flags Mexico, just south of Mexico City, and La Ronde in Montreal.

I am still Leo Wells, and . . . . I AM Six Flags!

Just a blurb about Fright Fest, easily my favorite time of the season. All of our Six Flags branded parks will be celebrating FF. Thrills by day, chills by night.

See for local details.

Well, what do you know? Leo is STILL yapping about Six Flags. Ours is opening on April 3, and the one in Arlington, TX opens on February 27. Early, I would imagine, but ready for more thrills, chills, and spills.

Come see us. I don't know the 2009 ad slogan yet, but I'll be informed soon.

Well, what do you know. Leo just can't keep his beady mouth shut about Six Flags, where he was voted "Most Talkative" by his peers in management in the Games and Attractions department. We just opened up a new ride, Buccaneer Battle, where guests shoot water at each other, something they've been demanding from us for years (rather than paint). A good many of you folks are in Texas where we have two places for you to go.
