If you are not already a paid CFBRAA member I want to encourage you to become one.
Our association is doing good things and helping out many with special needs and scholarships.
We aren't doing as much as we would like to do and not as much as one would expect, especially if you or someone you are close to are in need of financial help.
We are limited by the funds we have available, so what we can do is modest compared to the needs.

Here is what we were able to accomplish this year with less than 300 paid members:
1. Helped 15 families in crisis situations, providing medical help, housing, utilities, clothing, etc. You provided nearly $11K in crisis support to families.
2. Helped 9 alumni families send their children to college, providing $6K in scholarship assistance.
3. Helped scores of new alumni with transportation, providing $4K for vehicle maintenance and fuel for the Alumni Support Center.
4. Provided $500 to the residents of the Alumni Support Center to help with Christmas presents for their families.
5. Provided $500 to the homes at BR as awards for the Christmas Contest winners.

This rascal is Scotter and I found him when he was the size of my palm and now he is pretty darn big. He fetches and here he is carring his ballie for me to throw again.

Any one remember this dog? my other dog is a pit bull that was gotten out of a rescue and he was gonna become a fighter. Although he looks the part he is a big baby and is mellow until you start playing.

Here is one more I found back in 1990 when I was visiting from the Navy.
Bogers was pretty old and I was told a staff memeber took him when they left so he died a good life after BR.

Good idea.

This one is my old dog, Kirby, who died this summer...
Image

This one lives with us but is my son's dog. My wife is threatening a custody fight when he takes her. :)

This one we got for my daughter, but she is really mine...

Since everybody is sharing pictures of their beloved family members (that's how I think of my dog, she is my baby), here is a picture of my sweet little "angel" . She'll be 5 months old on October 10th. I have forgotten how much "fun" puppies can be...LOL  Her name is Snickers and she's a Boston Terrier (or is that Terror... )

Thanks for sharing, heck our home is run amuck with the pets not to mention I have a 16 year old step daughter that helps balance the mix out.

Y'all have some fine pets, but I assure you they can not stand in the same league with my kitty, "Fluffy," . She just graduated Top Of her Class. I am very proud of her. 8) 8) 8) 8) :)

No birds or squirrels. She only takes contracts on the dog world. There is an "APB" out for "Who ever is shooting dogs in the neighborhood" She has haired two Great Danes ( who were raised during the drought) as body guards. Squirt and Taco. She is in hiding until the heat blows over.

Take care
Norman
P.S. She has already got a Self Defense plea going.

I was doing my 25 hour inspection on one of my lawn tractors and so I stopped for lunch and Madam Queen was down in the garage helping and when I came back she was insuring my tractor was secure!
